Lakers won Game 5. Lamar Odom is awake (For how long is anyone's guess). See you in Denver.
Moving right along, this ridiculous hype that has been brewing over a potential Kobe vs Lebron finals (as if the entire series was a one-on-one matchup) has been bothering me since last week. The Cav's aren't quiet Jordan's Bulls re-incarnate, no matter what Bill Simmmons will have you believe, nor are the Lakers 1/4 of the 90's, 80's or 70's Laker teams. Couple that with Nike's transparent effort to push the hype to another level with those brilliant puppet commercials, we've all lost perspective. The sooner everyone realizes this, the better off we'll all be. Kobe's career is now diminished because he plays with soft players who don't play a lick of defense. And if the Cav's lose this series, somehow Lebron isn't a once in a generation player anymore. Hogwash. I can go and on, but ESPN.com's Chris Brosard already said it all...
